Mayra Segovia-Walker, a 35-year veteran of the Beauty Industry,
trained and worked in New York City, Connecticut and Florida. Her work has been featured in educational seminars, videos, television makeovers, fashion shows and print work.
Mayra’s transition to retirement brings her multi-dimensional artistic talent to Prince Edward Island, which has become her sanctuary for creativity. The vast amount of woods, beaches, farms and water heighten her inspiration. These tranquil settings allow Mayra to completely get lost into her jewelry design. When not in her workshop, she’s riding her bicycle on the Confederation Trail to stimulate her imagination or combing the pristine beaches for sea glass treasures.
Mayra’s current jewelry designs are inspired by her favorite historical time periods - The Bronze Age and The Roaring Twenties. She incorporates a combination of metals, sea glass, pearls, semi-precious stones and remnants of stained glass.
