Mayra Segovia-Walker, a 35-year veteran of the Beauty Industry,
trained and worked in New York City & Connecticut. Her work has been featured in educational seminars, videos, televisionmakeovers, fashion shows and print work.
Mayra’s transition to retirement brings her multi-dimensional artistic talent to Prince Edward Island, which has become her sanctuary for creativity. The vast amount of woods, beaches, farms and water heighten her inspiration. These tranquil settings allow Mayra to completely get lost into her jewelry & driftwood designs. When not in her workshop, she’s riding her horse on the sandy & woodsy trails of East Point to stimulate her imagination.
Mayra’s current designs are inspired by her favorite historical time periods - The Bronze Age and The Roaring Twenties. She incorporates a combination of metals, driftwood, sea glass, pearls, semi-precious stones and remnants of stained glass.
